TNU participates in China-Uzbekistan Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference

On Jan 23, the China-Uzbekistan Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference took place at Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park in Tianjin, bringing together the presidents of Tianjin and Uzbekistan’s universities to promote educational cooperation.

Qu Kai, secretary of the CPC Tianjin Normal University (TNU) committee, and TNU vice president Bai Xuejun attended the event.

The China-Uzbekistan Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference takes place at Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park in Tianjin.

During the conference, TNU reached preliminary cooperation intentions with several universities in Uzbekistan. The universities on both sides will rely on their respective advantageous disciplines to collaborate in various areas, including studying in China, research cooperation, the exchange of faculty and students, and international Chinese language education. This is also expected to lay a solid foundation for broader, more extensive, and deeper exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the future.

After the conference, the Uzbekistan delegation visited TNU.

After extending a warm welcome to the visiting delegation, Bai highlighted that TNU has always adhered to an open approach to education and has conducted extensive international exchanges and cooperation. TNU was selected as one of the first batch of "Demonstration Bases for International Students Studying in China" nationwide and has established friendly cooperative relationships with 198 universities, institutions, and educational authorities from 35 countries and regions. TNU welcomes Uzbekistani youth to come to TNU for studying Chinese language and experience China.

The visit of the Uzbekistan delegation to Tianjin will further contribute to the sustainable development of Sino-Uzbek higher education cooperation in the new era and provide wisdom and strength to address practical issues in international cooperation in higher education between the two sides.
