On June 13th, Professor Nguyen Phuoc Loc, an executive member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching (ISCLT), who is also the vice president of the Vietnamese Association for Chinese Language Teaching and Research, and deputy director of the Chinese Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, visited Tianjin Normal University on June 13. The visit was accompanied by Duan Yushi, the director of the Chinese Department at Thanh Dong University.
Zhong Yinghua, president of TNU, expressed sincere welcome and appreciation to Nguyen for his special visit, praising his long-term dedication in Chinese education research. Zhong said that the development of education exchange and cooperation between China and Vietnam is rapid and this visit will promote extensive cooperation between TNU and the Chinese language education community in Vietnam. He added that the visit will also help promote close cooperation between ISCLT and Vietnamese Chinese academic organizations.

The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on joint development of local Chinese language teacher training, establishing friendly relationships with the Ho Chi Minh University of Education, accelerating the establishment of the Vietnamese Chinese Language Learning Center, developing various Chinese language academic and training programs, conducting teacher and student exchange visits, among others, and reached wide consensus.

Later, a seminar was chaired by Bai Xuejun, vice president of TNU, with the participation of 200 teachers and students. During the seminar, Nguyen delivered an excellent academic report titled "An Overview of Vietnamese Chinese Teaching and Comparison of Sino-Vietnamese Words" to the attendees.

Nguyen is an expert in Chinese education and comparative studies of Chinese and Vietnamese cultures. He has made outstanding contributions to the development of international Chinese education in Vietnam, particularly in the areas of Chinese-Vietnamese language comparison and international Chinese teaching theory and practice. His work has been widely recognized in the academic community of international Chinese education in China and Vietnam.
