Recently, the 4th "Stories of China Retold in English" Challenge event of Tianjin Normal University (TNU) was presented in the multi-functional hall of the university's conference center. The event invited teachers and students from nine schools, including Tianjin Experimental Middle School and Kunming Road Primary School (Heping district, Tianjin).

The event was fully aligned with the national competition system and was divided into two parts: the comprehensive showcase and the popularity segment. The comprehensive showcase consisted of three sections: themed speech, on-site Q&A, and a Chinese cultural talent show. Twenty-two contestants from different faculties (schools) competed on the same stage, each demonstrating their unique strengths. The contestants narrated the long-standing stories of Chinese culture in fluent English and interpreted the essence of cultural heritage through dynamic talent performances, showcasing profound cultural confidence on the youthful stage.

Since its launch, the event has attracted over a thousand students from various disciplines to actively participate. The activity not only honed the students' English proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills but also effectively demonstrated the university's commitment to cultural inheritance and international communication. It has built a high-quality platform for TNU youth to display their linguistic talents and pass on the Chinese cultural legacy. Moving forward, TNU will continue to take the "Stories of China Retold in English" event as a distinctive vehicle, continuously innovating educational approaches, enabling more young students to cultivate a sense of patriotism through language learning and strengthen cultural confidence through cultural dissemination, thus contributing to the building of a culturally strong country and cultivating talents of the new era capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.
