On November 17, the 30th China Daily "21st Century Cup" National English Speaking Competition grand final was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Pan Yixin, an undergraduate from the School of Literature; Huang Xinran, an undergraduate from the School of Foreign Languages; and Wang Pinyi, a postgraduate student from the School of Foreign Languages, advanced through multiple selection rounds to compete nationally. They earned consistent acclaim from the judges for their strong command of the language, confident delivery, and broad international perspective, fully demonstrating the commendable qualities of TNU's youth.



Launched in 1996 and hosted by China Daily, the "21st Century Cup" National English Speaking Competition aims to empower young people to articulate their ideas effectively and engage in meaningful dialogue with peers across China and the world. This year's edition, which commenced in March 2025 and spanned nine months, attracted participants from universities across the country. After rigorous selections, 350 university-level contestants advanced to the national semi-finals, with 22 competing in the grand final.
