On September 3, a delegation fromTashkent State Pedagogical University (TDPU) visited Tianjin Normal University (TNU). During the visit, Alisherov Farxod Alisherovich, Vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of TDPU, and Qin Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC TNU Committee and TNU Vice President, jointly signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities, marking a new stage in bilateral collaboration.

Vice President Qin Long extended a warm welcome to the Uzbek delegation. He elaborated on TNU's history, disciplinary strengths, and overall strategy for internationalization. Reviewing previous exchanges between the two universities, Qin proposed that both sides should adhere to the Shanghai Spirit as a guiding principle, deepen cooperation in international Chinese education, mathematics, chemistry, and other flagship disciplines, jointly establish research teams, apply for international collaborative research projects, promote mutual sharing of scientific achievements, and complement each other's educational resources.

Vice-rector Alisherov Farxod Alisherovich expressed sincere gratitude for TNU's hospitality. He emphasized Uzbekistan's strong identification with the core principles of the Shanghai Spirit—mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for diverse civilizations, and pursuit of common development. He noted that the delegation's visit was fully supported by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan. He expressed hope for fruitful outcomes in joint discipline development, faculty and student exchanges, summer schools, talent cultivation, and collaborative research, adding that he looked forward to starting with this partnership to write a new chapter in educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.

The signing of this agreement is not only a key move to deepen educational exchanges and expand collaboration between the two universities but also a concrete practice by TNU to leverage the strategic opportunity of the SCO Summit being held in Tianjin, put the Shanghai Spirit into practice, and serve regional opening-up and educational development. This collaboration has not only laid a solid foundation for future joint development between the two institutions but also injected new vitality into practical cooperation among universities in Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
