On April 25, the 19th Foreign Language Festival of Tianjin Normal University (TNU) opened in Tianjin, seeing the participation of leaders from TNU's departments and New Channel International Education Group Limited, and over 700 faculty and student representatives.

Chen Pancheng, deputy secretary of the CPC TNU Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Chen stated that as a cultural event of TNU, the Foreign Language Festival has focused on the development of students and provided a stage for students to gain practical experience. He encouraged the students to promote cultural exchanges and give their voice in the new era.

The opening ceremony covered such themes as traditional Chinese culture, national unity, and the ethnic customs of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. Through recitations, dances, dramas, multilingual singing, and other forms of expression, it provided a platform for cross-cultural communication and mutual learning for all students at the university.

This year's Foreign Language Festival has organized a total of eight multilingual competitions. Over the next month, a variety of exciting events featuring different foreign languages will be held, aiming to create a conducive learning environment, enhance students' language proficiency and overall quality, and promote a better understanding of both Chinese and foreign cultures through vibrant competitions and activities.
