March 21, 22 and 23 are respectively observed as World Forest Day, World Water Day and World Meteorological Day. In honor of these environmental protection days, faculty and students from Tianjin Normal University (TNU) have organized a series of themed activities to raise awareness about forest resources, water resources, weather, and climate through popular science education.

At the Third Primary School Affiliated to TNU, students from the university conducted a themed event titled "Low-Carbon Living Helps Protect the Lungs of the Earth". Through lively and engaging videos and interactive presentations, they delivered a unique popular science class for the elementary school students, introducing to them the origins of World Forest Day and the general situation of forest resources in China.

At the Tianjin Water Conservation and Technology Museum, representatives from TNU conducted a themed study activity titled "Cherishing Every Drop of Water, Safeguarding the Source of Life". Participants actively involved in the interactive activities such as water-saving simulations and engaging quizzes. These diverse presentations and immersive projects allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the domestic water resources, household water conservation knowledge, the production process of tap water, and the latest water-saving technologies.

At the meteorological observation station in TNU, students gained close-up knowledge about the ever-changing weather, and had a better understanding of the operational principles of meteorological observation instruments such as the wind vane. They also learned firsthand how to obtain real-time data such as temperature, rainfall, wind speed and wind direction, recognizing the wide application and significant value of meteorology, especially in terms of disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge.
