On Feb 9, a Spring Festival celebration event was held at Tianjin Normal University (TNU) for overseas students, welcoming numerous lecturers and students to participate in the activity.

This event, consisting of three main themes - "What is the Spring Festival," "The Sound of the Dragon," and "Joyful Lunar New Year" , introduced the culture of Spring Festival, the symbolism of the Year of the Dragon, and showcased the achievements of international Chinese education at TNU over the past year.

The programs included various forms of performances such as Chinese poetry recitation, Chinese song singing, and Ba Duan Jin (a form of traditional Chinese exercise) performances.

During the activity, the overseas students also conducted video calls to local Chinese students' families in Tianjin, enabling both Chinese and foreign students to experience the cultural customs of Spring Festival and understand the social significance of traditional Chinese culture.

Over the years, TNU has attached great importance to the cultivation of language and the cultural practical abilities of both Chinese and foreign students. Going forward, TNU will further contribute to the cultivation of international students who are friendly and knowledgeable about Chinese culture.
