At the beginning of 2024, Tianjin Normal University (TNU) has made great progress in the construction of multiple research platforms.
The "Key Laboratory for Student Mental Health and Intelligent Assessment in Tianjin", led by Bai Xuejun, vice president and professor of TNU, has been granted as a key laboratory construction project in Tianjin.
This laboratory, based on the multi-disciplinary collaboration and industry-academia-research cooperation, is committed to research the new psychological diagnosis and treatment technologies for students' mental health, and aims to achieve a comprehensive, multidimensional, visualized, and digital assessment and promotion of mental health, contributing to the development of Tianjin's health industry.
It has also integrated with the advantages of the national key discipline and the interdisciplinary and innovative talent teams of TNU, as well as the support from the Tianjin Belt and Road Joint Laboratory and the team led by Professor Björn W. Schuller, an IEEE Fellow from Imperial College London in the field of affective and health intelligence.
Meanwhile, the "Key Laboratory for Geological Resource Exploration and Ecological Protection in Hebei Province", jointly established with TNU, Hebei Huakan Zihuan Survey Co., Ltd. and the China University of Geosciences Beijing, has been approved as a key enterprise laboratory construction project in Hebei province. It marks TNU’s first breakthrough in jointly establishing a provincial and ministerial-level research platform across regions with an enterprise.
This laboratory is expected to conduct key technical researches in resource geology, ecological geology, and urban geology. TNU will contribute to constructing an ecological civilization data and service platform that spans the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, focusing on technical support for ecological patterns and environmental effects in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as dynamic monitoring and evaluation of resources and ecological environments.
In addition, TNU will also collaborate with Tianjin Xinmeng Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly establish the Advanced Packaging and Testing Technology Division of the Key Laboratory for Wireless Mobile Communication and Wireless Power Transmission in Tianjin.
Going forward, TNU will further follow the national demands and the forefront of disciplinary development, and cultivate distinctive scientific and technological research platforms, in a bid to contribute its own strength to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
