Diligent and serious, cultivate oneself and nurture others
Diligence means to have a passion for learning and to stick to it; seriousness is to be cautious and meticulous, maintaining rigorous and serious academic methods. To cultivate oneself means that educators should first receive education themselves, and be self-disciplined; to nurture others means educators should be role models for others and be dedicated to the cause. To nurture others, we must first cultivate ourselves, only then can we help others.
